Terms of Service
Effective and last updated: September 14, 2026
Agreement
These Terms govern your use of PlutusLearning, a sole proprietorship operated from New York, United States, at plutuslearning.com, including its accounts, educational materials, learning activities, and Premium subscription. By creating an account or purchasing Premium, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not create an account or purchase Premium.
Age and Permission
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Before account details are collected, the sign-up page temporarily uses your birth month and year to determine an age category. PlutusLearning does not retain the birth month or year; it records only the resulting age category and verification time. If you are 13 through 17, your parent or legal guardian must review these Terms and permit your use of the account. A Premium purchase by someone under 18 must be reviewed and authorized by that person's parent or legal guardian. Visitors under 13 may view public educational content but may not create an account or submit personal information. If we learn that an account holder is under 13, we will disable the account and handle the information as described in our Privacy Policy.
Accounts
You must provide accurate information, protect your password, and use only your own account. You are responsible for activity performed through your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission. We may suspend an account to protect the service, investigate misuse, comply with law, or enforce these Terms.
Free and Premium Service
A free account saves eligible learning progress. Premium currently includes unlimited quizzes and the courses, lessons, study guides, and missions marked Premium, with Premium access available when signed in to the subscribed account on supported devices. We may improve, replace, or discontinue features, but we will not intentionally charge for a materially different recurring plan without appropriate notice and consent.
Free Quiz Allowance
Free users can start up to five quizzes in a 24-hour period beginning with their first quiz in that period. Each quiz may contain 5, 10, 20, or 40 questions. Starting a quiz uses one allowance, including when you abandon it before finishing. When signed in, the allowance belongs to that account and is shared across devices. Switching accounts uses the other account's allowance. Signed-out usage is stored separately in that browser and does not use up an account's allowance when you sign in.
Courses and Learning Records
Courses include lessons, practice questions, and exercises. Free and Premium labels identify access requirements. Course completion, scores, and achievements are learning indicators; they do not by themselves confer an accredited qualification, professional license, or guarantee of employment. Eligible progress and exercise responses may be saved in your browser and synchronized when signed in, as explained in our Privacy Policy.
Premium Billing
Premium costs $3 USD when you subscribe and every month afterward on the same billing date until canceled, plus applicable taxes. There is no free trial. Stripe processes payments. Before Stripe requests payment information, the Profile page displays the price, billing frequency, cancellation deadline and method, and links to the governing policies. You must separately accept that recurring-subscription disclosure before checkout can begin.
Cancel before the next monthly billing date shown in your Profile or Stripe billing portal to prevent the next charge. After a successful purchase, we send a retainable confirmation with the subscription and cancellation terms. See the Subscription, Cancellation, and Refund Policy for complete billing terms.
Educational Use Only
PlutusLearning provides general financial education. It does not provide personalized financial, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice and does not act as your adviser, broker, fiduciary, accountant, or attorney. Educational examples and missions may be simplified or hypothetical. See our Educational and Financial Disclaimer.
Acceptable Use
You may not misuse the service, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with security, scrape or copy substantial portions of the content, share Premium access outside your household, evade access controls, introduce harmful code, impersonate another person, or use PlutusLearning for unlawful activity.
Content and Ownership
PlutusLearning's design, text, study materials, images, questions, missions, branding, and software are owned by PlutusLearning or used with permission. We give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for your own learning. No ownership rights are transferred to you.
Availability and Disclaimers
We work to keep PlutusLearning accurate and available, but the service is provided on an "as available" basis. To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free content, a particular learning result, financial outcome, or the continued availability of every feature. Nothing in these Terms removes rights that cannot legally be waived.
Responsibility and Liability
To the extent permitted by law, PlutusLearning is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses resulting from reliance on educational content, third-party services, or temporary service interruptions. Our total responsibility for a paid claim will not exceed the amount you paid to PlutusLearning during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law or to liability that cannot legally be limited.
Ending Use
You may stop using the service at any time and may request account deletion through the Contact page or [email protected]. We will verify that the request concerns your account. Canceling Premium stops future renewal charges but does not automatically delete your account. Deleting an account does not automatically reverse completed charges, and you should cancel Premium first. We may end or restrict access for serious or repeated violations, fraud, security threats, legal requirements, or nonpayment.
Changes, Law, and Contact
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated reasonably before they apply when required. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York and applicable United States law, without removing any consumer protection that applies where you live.
Questions may be sent through our Contact page or to [email protected].
